How Do We Play? – Rules
Purpose of the Competition 🎯
The competition is all about having fun, connecting with other students, and testing your scientific knowledge in areas such as:
🌍 the circular economy,
⚡ energy transition,
💧 environmental engineering, renewable energy sources, and sustainable development.
Everything is played in the spirit of fair play - no luck involved, just reflexes, knowledge, and good energy!
Who Can Participate? 👥
· The competition is open to students of the University of Technology.
· Each round features up to 10 participants.
· Every participant draws a seat number and takes their place before the competition begins.
Duration ⏱️
· Each round lasts until all questions have been answered - approximately 20-25 minutes.
How the Quiz Works ❓
· All questions are played in the “first come first served” format.
· The host reads a question, and the first person to buzz in and be recognized by the host gets to answer.
· Participants use buzzers provided at their stations to signal they wish to answer.
· Each participant has about 10 seconds to respond.
· Correct answer = 1 point
· Incorrect or no answer = 0 points (no negative scores).
· Scores are tracked in real time by the jury.
Results and Prizes 🏆
· The winner is the participant with the highest number of points.
· The top three places will receive attractive prizes:
📜 A certificate confirming participation and final placement, recognized in the Rector’s Scholarship application process,
🍔 A delicious surprise, sure to please any fan of good food,
🎁 A surprise gift set - a mix of practical, stylish, and inspiring items linked to student life and culture.
Fair Play Rules💡
· Each participant competes individually.
· Using any electronic devices, notes, or audience help is strictly prohibited.
· Answers are evaluated by the quiz host and the competition committee, composed of representatives from the academic community — their decisions are final.
· Knowledge, reflexes, and good fun are what count! 🎓
